With Vultaggio Agritourism as your starting point, you can organise several routes leading to various destinations, depending on your idea of what a great excursion should offer.

If you are fond of history and archaeology, head in the direction of Calatafimi-Segesta and relive the magic of the ancient city of Segesta. A mandatory stop is the archaeological site, where you can admire the magnificent Doric temple and the evocative Greek theatre carved out of the rock hill. Many theatre performances are held here during the year. The agora and one home here were constructed during the Hellenistic-Roman period, while the walls, the Valley Gate, the castle, the mosque and the village are from the medieval period.

Another site of cultural interest is Selinunte, an archaeological park covering 40 hectares that includes the hilltop shrine of Malophoros, the central Acropolis with several temples and fortifications, the old town, a hilly area with several more temples and the necropolis.

For walks and excursions in contact with nature, we suggest a visit to the Zingaro Reserve, a beautiful nature reserve managed by the Sicilian Regional Department of National Forests.

Just as beautiful are the salt pans of Trapani, with the largest lagoon in all of Sicily. By following the Salt Routes, you can admire and visit huge white expanses of salt. The excursion also includes a trip to the Island of Mozia, where you can visit the necropolis, the house of mosaics and the Archaeological Museum of the Whitaker Foundation.
