The Vultaggio
family's country "baglio" (typical farmhouse hamlet) is situated
in Misilscemi district. It has been turned into an agriturismo (organic
farm) with rooms and restaurant. The location is ideal for those who love and
appreciate a holiday in contact with the beauty of nature.
The love for
the land, acquired in over four generations, has taught the Vultaggio family
to respect nature and to make the most of what nature yields. The company
produces an excellent Nero d'Avola wine, which goes very nicely with the
culinary specialties of the house. From the orchard with "grandmother's"
ancient recipes, tasty jams are prepared and from the olive groves, "Misil"
an extra-virgin olive oil has been made for the last 100 years.
Agriturismo
Vultaggio, which can accommodate guests with disabilities, is located a few
kilometres from Erice, a synthesis of myth, history, art and culture, from
Segesta with its legendary temple and grand theatre, from Selinunte,
with its rich museum of civilisation and its ancient metropolis. If you
love being surrounded by nature, essential destinations are the Zingaro Reserve,
where the typical Mediterranean scrub alternates with white pebbly coves, the
islands of Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo, where nature remains untouched
and San Vito lo Capo, with the most beautiful beach in the Mediterranean.
