We respect and value greatly our land and what it offers us, and for this reason you will find as many as 13 dishes on our menu under the protection of the Slow Food Foundation.

At Vultaggio Agritourism you can taste various Slow Food products, starting with the famous Nebrodi Black Pig, Nubia red garlic, salt from the salt pans of Trapani, Castelvetrano black bread, Ustica lentils, Ragusa PDO caciocavallo cheese, Noto almonds, Sicilian black bee honey, Piacentinu Ennese and Vastedda Belice cheeses and Bronte pistachios.

Vultaggio Agritourism is part of the Slow Food Chef's Alliance in Italy, an alliance committed to defending food biodiversity around the world. To date, the network counts more than 400 members, including Italy, Albania, the Netherlands, Mexico and Morocco.

We care deeply about food biodiversity, and are constantly engaged in defending the products of our land – they would otherwise be doomed to extinction – and for this reason we use Slow Food and Ark of Taste products in our kitchen.

The Ark of Taste is an on-line catalogue that collects and catalogues the endangered tastes and flavours of local territories. The catalogue was created in 1996 for the first Salone del Gusto in Turin and its objectives were set out in a manifesto in 1997. In Italy, the Scientific Commission of the Italian Ark was founded in 1999, and it has determined the criteria used to select the various products. An International Commission of the Ark has been active since 2002.
